Looking for some input

I was just curious to hear some input about something I am interested in. Christian metal is often frowned upon by a lot of people. I believe that if they are out using their talents and staying true to their faith to minister and play the music they enjoy, how can this be bad?

An argument I have heard is loosely quoted " this type of music is just conforming to the world and as christians we should'nt be supporting this," something of that nature. I think that most genres and instrumentations can be traced back to secular beginings and sounds so would'nt this put all different christian genres on the same playing field? If we are using the talent god has given us in a "christian way," what makes this genre different from any other contemporary christian music?

The great commission tells us to spread the word of jesus to all nations and to all peoples and I believe this can be a great tool to reap a crop that is often looked upon as hopeless.

Correct me if im wrong im just curious and interested in different views.
